I didn’t intend to be here. I think most of us feel that way as we are knee-deep in our profession. When I was a kid, I dreamed of being an actor. I was certain that it is what I would be doing. Many years later, I’m salon owner and a hair stylist. Neither of these titles was on my Bingo card, but here I am. I hope to take you on a journey with me as I talk about the industry and fill you in on trends, successful tips & tricks that have helped the people I serve everyday, and what it’s like to be a hair dresser. I can’t promise it will be perfect but I can promise that it will be entertaining.
Currently, I am on my back patio writing and enjoying the weather. Sadly, I drank all of my morning coffee. I haven’t been writing all morning. Technology has caused me to plan out social media posts, email the person who has designed this blog and site you’re on, and I have fought with technology all morning. This was also a part of the profession that was not in the big-life-picture. And yet, here I am.
I’ll do my best to keep you up to date on industry trends, where we all fit in that scope, and what we can do to make your hair color better and make those curls pop. If you want to know something about your hair or the images you are seeing online, email us. I may turn it into a blog post (anonymous of course) because I guarantee that you are not the first to ask and you won’t be the last.
This space will challenge me as a salon owner and as a stylist to stay current when it comes to balayage trends, highlights that make you happy, and how wavy hair is part of the curly hair family. There are so many subjects to tackle and you may get a few personal stories as well. Welcome to the blog space.
