Mirror and I Salon is a terrific salon. The stylists are super talented. I go to Valerie, the head of the salon. Believe me, I am not an easy client... I have very thin and fine hair, and at 72, I'm losing alot on top. Valerie has given me the best haircut I've had in years and it finally looks like I have some style, not just a "dont know what to do and so I had to resort to ugly wigs" kind of semi-style (I say with much sarcasm). Plus I really love the color she gives me. I'm not a natural blonde, to be sure, but blonde highlights always hide the fact that I'm losing my hair and Valerie has discovered the perfect blonde that looks so natural and really pretty. I can honestly say that my hair hasn't looked this good in years. One more important note, this salon charges by the hour (each stylist has their own amount) and they DO NOT allow tipping - which is terrific since you dont have to pay so much more than the basic charge since in most salons, a tip is not only allowed but really required! I dont often give reviews and recommendations but after so many years having to take care of my hair, I know how hard it is to find a good salon just out of the blue if no one gives you a referral. Honestly, The Mirror and I Salon is wonderful and you will not be disappointed. I'm so glad I found them - a great salon in Round Rock.

Gail was wonderful. I was nervous to try someone new but she was great with my curly hair and really interested in making sure we matched my needs and style.

I got an express haircut with Kendall. She was awesome! Cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it. She asked many questions about the style that I wanted and kept following up throughout the process. Would recommend her 100%!

These folks know how to bring out your hair's natural beauty. It had been several years since I had a cut. I had no idea how wavy my hair had become. The salon is lovely, the Covid protocols are in place, the people are warm and inviting and I didn't have to drive to Austin. 😀

Amazing!! I cannot recommend Abigail (Gail) enough, she is so wonderful and kind. I have had tough experiences with salons so was nervous going back to the salon experience but she made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. No wait, was ready the second I stepped in. She talked with me the whole time, did an in depth consultation, was very meticulous and attentive to my hair. The salon itself is also wonderful, good parking, comfortable seats. Gail offered me water, and was so inclusive and accommodating. Hair cut itself was beautiful for my first curly cut, she is truly so talented. Gail answered all my questions. Wonderful experience, love Gail, and so happy to have found a new salon!

Love my curls! I have not seen my curls like this in 20 years. Catie cut/colored my hair and somehow revitalized my curls. Love it!!!

I had a great first experience at the salon with Abigail and the lovely staff! She helped me return to my natural color for less maintenance and a new chapter post surgery! The salon has great vibes and I'd recommend giving them a try.

I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Jacob was my short haircut “expert.” What could go wrong? When he cut my hair so slowly I thought it was strange, but really not at all because I learned afterwards that he was relatively new and was cutting hair like someone who was not yet sure of their skills. The finished product did not resemble what I wanted. Not even close. When I was finally given a 360, I wanted to cry at how badly it looked. The owner came to my rescue, or so I hoped, and tried to fix it. I went home and finally gave it a good look and a few days to see if I could just make it work, but I realized it was just so badly done I’d have to fix it by cutting what was left with a very short pixie. I cannot go to work with hair so uneven and choppy. So I lost the rest of my hair. The lady who did my pixie at another salon said it was too short in the back to fix completely even for a short pixie! I would not recommend this salon to anyone since even the owner left me with a very ugly haircut. The haircut cost $100. I was too embarrassed to tell my husband what I spent to come home looking so bad. Very, very disappointed.

Update: Contacted by owner and offered refund. Very appreciative that the salon will acknowledge this was a bad haircut and according to other reviews, definitely not the norm. Maybe things would have gone much better had I chosen a different stylist.

Thank you so much for the feedback. I’m truly sorry the service did not meet your expectations. Sometimes, as stylists, we have a tough day behind the chair. However that is no excuse. I wish I had the chance to talk to you again before leaving your final thoughts here but I understand. We take feedback seriously and truly regret any frustration this has caused.
